It’s an exciting summer for Custer County. In addition to our mesmerizing scenery and abundance of captivating activities, for the first time, several businesses are now offering recreational rentals for Jeeps, e-bikes, kayaks, and paddleboards for even more ways to play in the Wet Mountain Valley.

Call for Rental Hours & Availability
Located in the San Isabel National Forest at Lake Isabel, now you can fully experience mountain lodging at over 8,500 feet and enjoy the lake on a rented paddleboard or kayak. Those not staying at San Isabel can still take advantage of these rentals.
Rent stand-up paddleboards and/or single and double kayaks. Rentals are available for one-hour, two-hour, and four-hour sessions. San Isabel Lodging recommends bringing a towel, plenty of sunscreen and water, and your bathing suit.
Additional Info:
- Life jackets are mandatory. Bring your own, or they will provide one for you.
- Rentals are per person.
- The minimum age is 14. You must be a strong paddler with parental permission.
- For all under 17-year-old rentals, a parent’s signature is required.
- There is no swimming or motorized boats of any kind allowed on Lake Isabel.

Head to RAM Outdoor Adventures and rent a fun e-bike for cruising around town and to Lake DeWeese. RAM also rents fishing gear for those looking to throw a line in the lake!
The ride to Lake DeWeese is all level gravel and takes less than 30 minutes. Either head straight back to RAM for a one-hour rental or rent that fishing gear and spend some leisurely time in this jaw-droppingly beautiful setting.
