This new cookbook is a high-altitude cooking and baking guide for all things breakfast, both savory and sweet. Here’s the science: at high altitudes, the atmospheric pressure is lower, causing liquids to evaporate quickly and leavening agents to expand faster. High-altitude bakers can experience longer cooking times, overflowing batters, super-dense breads, and a number of other kitchen disasters. But no fear, Nicole Hampton is here to help! The author’s message is: “Happy baking, and happy breakfast!”
Nicole Hampton is the author of “Sugar High” and the writer behind the popular Blog DoughEyed.com, where she shares sweet and savory high-altitude- friendly recipes. Nicole has been featured in 5280 Magazine, The Washington Post, Colorado Life, and Colorado Country Life. Nicole lives in Denver, Colorado, at 5,000 feet above sea level. When she’s not baking, you can find her working in digital marketing, reading, listening to podcasts, and eating breakfast for every single meal.
