WCPA ~ A Babble of Voices

The Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts (WCPA) is pleased to present A Babble of Voices, a fall community event to kick off Arts Hullabaloo weekend, co-sponsored by the West Custer County Library and the Sangres Art Guild. A Babble of Voices features writers from around the Wet Mountain Valley, who will be reading their works on the stage of the historic Jones Theater at 7 p.m. The pieces range from poetry and song lyrics to fiction and essays.

The entries were collated and judged by WCPA Board President Bev Allen and NYT best-selling author Shana Abe, who in her other life is a distinguished performer with the WCPA, and who will also be acting as MC for the evening. Admission is by donation –  “free if you’re broke, more if you’ve got it!” – which will help sponsor future community events at the Jones Theater.

In order of first appearance, the writers are: Nicole Parsons, Lisa Gurian, Joyce Gregor, Monica E. Young, Courtney Miller, Kitty Neches, Noelle Raelson, TC Smythe, Lockett Pitman, Tanny Cooper, Scott Chapman
